i finally got to see bowling for columbine yesterday. what a great movie that was. here's what i learned.
1. i think it was in the 1970's or 80's, the u.s. funded money for osama bin laden to have mass amounts of weapons and to basically learn how to be a terrorist.
2. canadians never lock their doors to their homes.
3. charlton heston had a gun rally in littleton, colorado, 10 days after the columbine incident happened. he also had another rally in flint, michigan, a few days after a first grader at a nearby school shoot another student.
4. people are dumb if they blame school shootings because kids play violent video games or listen to rock and roll.
5. they're also dumb if they think it's because america has had a violent history.
6. marilyn manson is smarter than you'd think.
7. i never knew a blind person could own a gun.
so kudos to michael moore on a great job.

i'm happy. i just got an early christmas present.
and soon i'll be using this baby at a show and you all better come.
today at school, they had a senior sports recognition assembly and the cheerleaders acted out a skit where they were each one of the players. the person who was me wore a rosary. that made my day.
tomorrow, fear of understanding show and seeing all my good friends.
and i have the next whole week off from school. such bliss.

i watched run lola run at scott's house last night. that was a really good movie. and i've been thinking about that kind of stuff a lot lately. like what if i just did something different right now and then that altered something else for someone else. so then it just keeps going down this whole list of different events. then it made me wonder, is everything that happens in my life the will of god or what he wanted to happen for me? i've thought about it and i've just come to the conclusion that i don't know and i probably never will. when you think about that question, you also have to ask yourself, is god in complete control? it makes me wonder and sometimes, i don't really think he is. it may sound really crazy but it seems like the most logical reason. but when you think about it as a whole, there's so much more out there that we don't know as humans. no one can understand the whole bible and what it's about. and even if you could, that's about 1/100th of a percent of what god is all about.
but when i think about it, i feel like right now, i'm actually happy and content with my spiritual life. i like the way it's going. i like the relationship i have with god right now and i like the way it's going and what's happening with it. i look at other people spiritually and i think to myself, man i'm glad i'm the way i am spiritually. i don't want to be like them. i like the way i think. i just want to be myself.

When people think you are dying, they really listen, instead--
--instead of just waiting for their turn to speak.
Yeah. Yeah...

After eight minutes I walked out. In that eight minutes I saw such behavior as a fat man's pants splitting at the seam in the seat and he was wearing no underwear. Nothing was tried to accomplish modesty. Indeed, all cinematic maneuvers appeared to be used to prolong view of it ... while he was on his knees. An electric muscle stimulator was applied to the most intimate private male parts possible and no attempts were made to hide anything. An electrode was applied to the space dead center in the crotch with no attempt to obscure subject and neighboring anatomy. None. An electrode was applied to a man's member ... in full view. Full male nudity, front and back are seen. Repeatedly. All in eight minutes.
This movie is vulgarly extreme to the extreme of vulgarity.

man, that is so funny. they won't even spell out the whole name "jackass". they just put jacka.

i finally saw jackass on friday night after our football against dade christian which we lost 48-13. that was the funniest movie i've ever seen in my entire life. there was probably only one or two skits that i thought were alright. but everything was just hilarious. saturday i chilled with doug and then we went to stephen's house with a couple people and watched scooby doo. that movie didn't make that much sense. then we watched fight club. now it's sunday. i went to church and had a leadership meeting after sunday school. i told the people there that i thought the praise and worship music were doing now is pretty boring and we should play some different, better music. so hopefully some things will be changing up a bit for the better.
i think i'm going to go write a song.
