You're one step closer to hitting bottom
What if you can go back in time, and take away all those hours of pain and darkness and replace them with something better.
i think the simpsons is probably my favorite tv show of all time. and recently, i've started reading comic books (thanks to richard) and so i've been getting simpson comics. here's a little piece i got from one.

this is such great satire and to me shows how ridiculous it can be for some people when they think they've said a bad word.

we have a football game tomorrow. were playing against zion luthern. if anyone is interested, our team (boca raton christian blazers) is in district 11-1A. here are the standings in our district and here are the stats for our team. we don't have our starting quarterback for this game so i don't know how were going to do. i'll try and put up tomorrow how we did in the game.

also, here's an article in the boca news from last weeks game against ft.lauderdale christian.

If you didn't read it on Coop's blog, you need to browse through this article on megachurches. I will resist making a comment only because I'd get myself in trouble. I will only post one telling quote:

''The reasons why churches are getting bigger are the same reasons why your Costco, your Wal-Mart, your Home Depot and Lowes are expanding and are successful,'' says Charlie Bradshaw, executive pastor of North Coast Church, which has 5,500 members in Vista, Calif., a suburb of San Diego. ''They're providing what you're looking for in options and prices, and that's why people are driving by the mom 'n' pop stores.''

Oh my. Consumerism at its best.

has anyone else ever heard of this group before?

well, it's been interesting talking to all the people i have so far about the interview i did with scott. i think about half liked it, half didn't like it, but none the less, it's been great being able to listen to different people's view on it and what they think about the church, our journey in life, etc. and i think the message board was a great idea and if you haven't had a chance yet to check it out, please do.

i'm also thinking about doing an interview with some other people i know. for the most part, i'll try and ask the same questions that i asked scott and i'll probably add some new questions in their too. should be very interesting. and i'll try to keep it shorter this time as i know it took some people a long time to read the interview with scott. of course, just imagine how long it took me to type all that up. i guess i don't have a life during the summer.

stupid blog. i typed all this stuff up and i hit post and nothing happens and i lose all the stuff i just typed. i guess i'll type it over again.

anyway, we won our football game last thursday and i got in on a sack and was very close to having a fumble recovery. the reason it wasn't a fumble recovery is because i caught a pitch that the quaterback threw as i was on the ground and it went right into my hands but the refs thought it hit the ground first which it didn't. oh well, at least i got some satisfaction from playing in this game and being on this football team.

and thanks to everyone wishing me a happy birthday. it was today and i appreciate it. if you didn't know it was my birthday, don't sweet it, it's no big deal.
